The Cure
The Cure is a band with influences in post-punk, new wave, and alternative rock that I've followed for a long time; however, I'd always missed this release. And that's incredibly unfortunate, because it feels like a breath of fresh air listening to a new album of theirs. They always seem to pull through whether it be lyrically or sonically. This album is their third, released in 1981. The lyrics are as depressing as you might be familiar with from this band. My favorite songs from the LP so far are Other Voices, All Cats Are Grey, The Funeral Party, and The Drowning Man.
